Environ 1,5 million de VP sortent du parc chaque année avant d’être recyclés ; l’âge moyen de ces véhicules « mis hors d’usage » retenu par la profession est d’environ 16 ans, ce qui porte à 20 ans le cycle de vie total moyen d’une voiture. ** Fixé par Règlement européen.
