  2. Possessive Nouns - SINGULAR A possessive noun shows who owns something. ’ The boys fish are in the tank. • For nouns that end in an “s” we add: • An apostrophe behind the “S”. www.alliance.k12.ec

  3. Possessive Nouns - SINGULAR Jack’s rabbit is big. • Jack has a rabbit. • The dog has food. • My mom has flowers. The dog’s food. My mom’s flowers are red. www.alliance.k12.ec

  4. Possessive Nouns - PLURAL A possessive noun shows who owns something. ’s The boy fish are in the tank. • For nouns that do not end in an “s” we add: • An apostrophe • An “S” www.alliance.k12.ec
