The Indian Japanese partnership company already holds a hefty 48% of the total automobile market in India and has been able to further strengthen its hold through the recent sales of Baleno, S Cross through Nexa showrooms. Ignis comes just at the right time for them to further take up market share. Overview The idea with launching Ignis at this time for Maruti Suzuki is to reap on the hype in the mini SUV market.   2. The car has been performing pretty well in the mileage index as well. Maruti Ignis mileage for petrol variant is nearly 20.9 kmpl while the diesel variants amount to 26.8 kmpl. This is a premium offering from Maruti Suzuki and is to be sold exclusively through Nexa showrooms. It is advisable for the car enthusiasts to get the bookings done swiftly to avoid waiting due to high demand. Variant Maruti Suzuki has launched Ignis 2017 in both petrol and diesel variants. The diesel variants are powered by 1.3 L multi jet diesel engine while the petrol variants are powered by 1.2 L turbo jet petrol engine. There are five diesel variants available at Nexa showroom in Pune, namely alpha, zeta, delta, AMT delta and AMT zeta. The base model of 1.3 L Delta is priced at Rs 6.54 lakhs while the top model AMT Zeta comes with a price tag of Rs 7.99 lakhs. There are six Ignis 2017 models sold through Nexa Pune, namely Alpha, Delta, Zeta, AMT Zeta, AMT Delta and Sigma. The base model in petrol segment is Rs 4.69 Lakhs while the top model is named Alpha and is priced at Rs 6.85 Lakhs ex showroom.
