Notable activities • Santa Claus stopped for CNAF on Monday • Difference between DQ2 datadisk and SRM used is overlapping files • No problems CNAF during the week – • Added disk space vital
Other notable events • File loss at CASTOR due to race condition in code • Loss of 2 ESD files • Castor experts noted a bug and are fixing it • Files temporarily missing from CERN EOS due to glitch • Restored from 2nd copy within ATLAS • Aggressive of dq2-get from CERN caused transfer problems in and out of FKZ • User filled the transfer queues, Rod identified the nodes causing the problem and the user was notified • Need better mechanism for users • WN configuration problems (few nodes) ND and IT clouds
Express Stream reprocessing • Express Stream Reprocessing started on Tuesday (AMOD forgot to report in WLCG meeting and was reminded ie Busted) • Persistent problems with Tapes at FZK caused delays in reprocessing and accessing MC Hits from tape • Problem with PIC tape drive – drive reset and firmware patch applied – no other problems seen. • Transient tape drive issues at IN2P3 and SARA • Santa Claus stopped for FZK DATATAPE at site request on Sunday.
Conclusions • Thanks to the experts, sites, shifts (Comp@p1, ADCOS, ADCOS expert) • Express Stream reprocessing completed • Good Luck to FZK to solve their persistent tape problems
