  1. How could I change the name of my Zyxel Router Setup? There are times when you may not like the given name of your Zyxel Login Router Setup and may want to keep a quirky and witty name for your wifi router. Either you may want to do this for your pure joy or maybe the need to separate your router from the rest of the modems which would be available nearby. No matter what the reason may be, changing the name of your router from the default may seem like a near to impossible task. But worry not, as this is very much possible. If you want to change the name of your router for your Zyxel, keep on reading to follow the instructions given below. 1. Firstly, you will have to log in. You will need to do it via the IP Address. In order to execute this, you would have to open a browser and then navigate to 192.168.1.1. It'd help if you remembered that the default username would be admin, and the default password will be 1234. 2. Secondly, you will have to select the Settings/Configuration icon. You will see this in the form of two gears which would appear on the left side of the screen. Thereafter, you will have to select the Wireless Settings LAN 2.4G. 3. In the third step, you will have to enter the username of your liking in the Wireless Settings LAN 2.4G. Next, you will see the Name (SSID) field. Here, you will have to type the name by which you will want your wifi router to be seen. After this, you will need to make sure that the Wireless LAN setting is Enabled. Once you are done with that, you will need to enter your desired password in the Pre-Shared Key. Next, repeat the same process for the Wireless Settings LAN 5G. When you are finished, then click on Apply. Be patient, as this may take a minute or two for the changes to start taking effect. In some cases, it may even take more than that.
