DPAC, or Disabled People Against Cuts, is a campaign network formed during a protest at the Conservative Party Conference in October 2010. The organization embodies the social model of disability and upholds the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). DPAC engages in direct action, research, lobbying, and legal challenges to support the rights of disabled individuals. Through grassroots activism, partnerships with disability organizations, and the reclamation of civil disobedience, DPAC works toward defending social justice and promoting independent living for disabled people.
