  1. Austin Galano Club Membership Meeting June 30, 2013 2:00 PM 1-Year Anniversary!!

AGC Mission • The Austin Galano Club (AGC) is a non-profit corporation formed to serve the recovering community of Austin and surrounding areas, specifically for the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual,transgender community, their allies, and serving all 12-step based programs and related activities. The club is focused on providing a facility and operational support for the meeting spaces for such groups, as well as providing social, community education, and service opportunities to the group members served. The club will operate to further provide a place for the recovery community to have a safe, affordable, comfortable place to gather, whether for a meeting or for social purposes. Although focused on serving the GLBTQ Recovery Community, AGC welcomes all persons in recovery, or supporting those in recovery, without regard to race, color, creed, or sexual identity or orientation.

  5. Financials • AGC Monthly Cashflow • Monthly income ~$6,000 • Member Dues - $1,740 • Meeting Rents - $2,570 • Coffee Bar - $1,712 • Monthly expenses ~$6,000 • Rent - $3,653 • Utilities - $1,000 • Coffee Bar Supplies - $1,200

Where does the money go? • Our largest expense, rent, goes to the IOOF • Follow the dollar • Put it in the basket • Envelope to pay rent to Galano • Pay rent to IOOF • IOOF donates to area Non-Profits • No employees in either organization • Leftover group money is distributed at each groups’ discretion/policy

  7. Membership • 137 Active Members (150 Total, 13 Inactive) • Cash/Check Donations are a vulnerability • Would like more members to help offset lower meetings rents

Member-Group Meetings • New Meetings • Women in Solutions– Sat – 10:00 AM • Paint It Black – Thur – 8:00 PM • Color of Light – Thur – 8:00 PM • Beyond Belief – Tue – 6:30 PM (added to Thu/Sat) • Meetings that have moved on • Lambda Live & Let Live – All 6:30 and Sat Women’s • Halfway There – M-Thu Nooners

  9. Member-Group Makeup • Total number of meetings: 27 • Total number of AA meetings: 16 • Number of different member-groups: 12 • Number of different program types (e.g. AA, CMA, etc): 6 • 1 Yr and 1 day ago – • 3 Groups (LLLL, LLL, O&A) – 20 meetings, 3 program types

Updates • New Board Member • David Swim has joined in Jon Wood’s place to serve out his commitment • Recent Donations • NEST Thermostats and AC repair • Still working on permanent airflow solution for Med Room • Security Cameras • Added visibility for parking out front, side exit, and coffee cash • Service Opportunities • Coffee Bar – sign up for regular service • Cleaning – Need help

  12. Celebrate! We are Becoming One!! Our fellowships have come together, are evolving, and are blossoming into whatever they shall be. We are all honored and blessed to be part of such an amazing unfolding.
