  2. To legalize or to decriminalize cannabis use- that is the question! Cannabis has been existing among us for centuries now! It is only the past few decades that it found its place in peoples’ lives. Rigorous research and studies, and even the anecdotal evidence prove that it has medicinal values.

  3. Some states realized its eminence and legalized the medical and recreational use of cannabis. Those states have also developed a procedure of purchasing medical cannabis from national dispensaries- via Medical Marijuana Card San Diego. However, there are several states that are reluctant to make such amendments. Earlier, pot use was illegal in many parts of America and so a disproportionate amount of people are behind bars for its illegal use. Whereas, during this coronavirus pandemic, cannabis was declared “essential”, thus making its use legal. This decision gave birth to various controversial issues among people opposing cannabis use.

  4. The dilemma here is why those people are still in prison for a crime that is not a crime anymore. Ranked at number 21 on Forbes’ list of powerful people, Elon Musk profoundly speaks about the implementation of the “decriminalization” of cannabis use. He highlights the antiquated and unjust penal system incarcerating people for non-violent cannabis-related crimes.

  5. Midnight Elon Musk Midnight Tweet! Cannabis consumers are also speaking their voice against this “Catch 22”! Elon Musk is one of them. His recent midnight tweet was - “ Selling weed literally went from major felony to essential business (open during pandemic) in much of America & yet many are still in prison. Doesn’t make sense, isn’t right.” This tweet was soon followed by another tweet saying- “This will probably get me in trouble, but I feel I have to say it.” His midnight tweet is painfully obvious. The tweet did not end up to be a cause of another riot or controversies whatsoever because a huge population of America supports cannabis legalization. In addition to this, they also believe to free the people charged as the drug is now legal in so many states.

  6. Almost all of his 35 million Twitter followers agreed to his stated concern. One of them even replied back saying - “Why do you think this will get you in trouble?” He merely made an obvious thing prominent in the world of social media. As this instigating tweet picked up a pace, basic supports turned into opinions on cannabis legalization. Plus, there was an open discussion on social and racial inequalities along with other cheeky images of plunging stock prices. Considering his previous tweets, this is not exactly a controversial topic. On top of this, some people are happily taking out time to troll Musk, an amusing activity among internet users. Some of the trolls were - “elon literally everyone thinks this, why are you like this dude” “Elon musk arrives to the party, years late, yells to the crowd: I might get into trouble for this water is wet!!!”

  7. Considering the Timing of Tweet As it is said, timing is everything. His tweet time coincides with America taking a tour in history and presenting options on race relations and white privileges. The recent death of George Floyd that gave rise to the #BlackLivesMatter Movement. His death shook the Americans to the core and opened up dialogues and conversations between class and race discriminations in America.

  8. Advantage Weed is not new to Elon Musk. Instances where he tweeted “the stock is so high lol” around one Christmas when Tesla shares hit $420. And, then, the never-to- be-forgotten appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2018- when Musk smoked weed and investors watched that sight as Tesla stock closed down 6%. As a result of many activists speaking up, many states in the United States have decriminalized certain charges and even took a step back from incarceration for possessing weed for personal use. This undeniable war on drugs has disproportionately affected people of color and convictions are still a hindrance to advancements. I believe that if this mastermind, Elon Musk can put a man in space, he can also get one out of prison for an inconsiderable offense.
