  1. How do I connect my HP printer to Wi-Fi The HP wireless printers feature built-in Wi-Fi through which any Wi-Fi-enabled device can be connected to the printer. Print jobs can be easily sent from computer or smartphones. The printer and the device have to be connected to the same wireless network. Quick steps for connecting the printer to a Wi-Fi 1. Gather the network name and password. 2. Disconnect the printer from the computer. 3. Convert the USB settings on the printer driver to Wireless settings. 4. Select the Wi-Fi Protected setup option on the printer’s control panel. 5. Carry out the WPS Push button method or PIN method. 6. Enter the WEP or WPA key if prompted. 7. Verify if the printer's network connection. 8. Print document from your computer. Descriptive instructions for the Wi-Fi setup 1)Make sure the printer’s hardware setup is complete, and the printer has a proper power supply. Remove any Ethernet cable connecting the printer to a router, or USB cable connecting the printer to a computer. 2)Keep the wireless network’s name and password ready. You can get them from HP Print and Scan Doctor as well. Make sure the computer is connected to the same wireless network to which you want to connect the printer. 3)If you have already installed the software for a USB connection on your computer, click Utilities on your Windows operating system. 4)Select the Printer Setup and Software Selection option on your Windows. 5)Click the ‘Convert a USB connected printer to Wireless option’ or ‘Connect a new printer’ option as per the version of your software. Follow the prompts on the window to change the settings for USB to wireless. 6)Turn the router, computer and printer Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cable from the printer.

  2. 7)Tap the Wireless icon on the printer’s control panel. Navigate to the Wireless Settings option and touch the Wi-Fi Protected Setup option. Select the Push button method and tap OK. 8)Press the WPS button on the router. The printer connects to the network. 9)Alternatively, you can also choose the PIN method for connecting the printer for Wi-Fi setup. Tap the PIN option and select Start. 10)The printer’s control panel displays a PIN. Enter the PIN on your router within about 4 minutes. The printer connects to the wireless network.
