  4. 2. geographics • Based on WHERE people live • Local- think small, independent restaurant • State- think political campaigns • Regional- think banks, food manufacturers • National, Global- think Pepsico, Nike

Physchographics • Based on people with similar attitudes, interests, opinions, and lifestyles (how people spend their money, personality traits, and motivation) • Demographics + psychographics = customer profile (think soccer moms who are into green and organic) • Health, green, fitness, interest groups…. Blahblah…

  6. 4. Behavioral characteristics • Loyalty- 80/20 rule • Most teenagers- $50/month on entertainment • Teenage girls- spend 15% more on music than boys (= more music marketing toward girls??) • Internet info (online product review, online promotion)

  8. PROJECT FOR TEST GRADE! • With your partner • Pick a profile • Cut out a human shape (life-sized); name him or her; He/she needs a face • Cut out pictures/ads that might apply to that particular profile (need 20)
