Invokana, marketed by Janssen, a division of Johnson & Johnson, is supposed to improve sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. The product was approved for sale in the United States in March, 2013. According to the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), though, Invokana has been linkedto a wide range of health issues, from low blood sugar and extreme dehydration to loss of consciousness and allergic reactions.
