  1. What is the Right Time to Take Protein Powder The first thing is to be clear about the goal of taking a protein shake. If your goal is to help you during workout, then there is no need to take it before sleep. If your goal is to get more protein, then you can start having protein-rich foods and have a shake only if really needed. There is no right time to take protein powder, and it depends on your personal preference. Some options for you are: First thing in the morning.  1-2 hours before workout.  Some time after workout.  Things to keep in mind while buying protein powder: Protein Source: Protein powders come from different sources like plants, dairy  (milk), meat, etc. Example MyProtein Vegan Protein, Oziva Plant-Based Protein (Rice, Pea, Quinoa), NakPro Whey Protein, etc. Fake Products: Check the product, the packaging, the bar code, MRP tag, etc. for  genuineness. Always buy from a known site or from an authorized dealer, even if others offer discounts. Ingredients: Some products have artificial sweeteners, sugars, vegetable fats and  oils, etc. Some brands also add fillers to increase the weight of the product. Others use milk solids in their powders. Avoid such ingredients in the powders.
