  1. Eye Vision Correction through Blade Eye Surgery One of the most common refractive surgeries done for correcting eye problems is the Laser in situ keratomileuses (LASIK). This process helps people with eye vision problems the chance to see without corrective or prescription lenses. One can improve eye vision by making changes to the cornea through surgery. When we compare blade eye surgery and non-blade surgery, there is a microkeratome blade in traditional surgery. Method of Eye Correction The surgeon uses this blade to cut a flap in the cornea. This is the clear part in front of the eye. Then, the surgeon lifts the flap to allow the lasers to reshape the cornea. This will rectify eye vision. There is only a little discomfort during blade eye surgery. The sharpness of the microkeratome blade helps to fit the corneal flap perfectly so that the recovery is fast. Use of Bladeless LASIK Method In the bladeless LASIK, an IntraLASIK femtosecond laser helps to make the corneal flap. This process is costlier than blade eye surgery and also takes more time. Both methods are effective and each will suit different people. About which method is safer, both are safe and each of them has its good points. Use of Blade Method People who need minor corrections can opt for blade LASIK surgery. We can create a flap fast but there is the risk of distortion because it is a manual method. Also, buttonhole flaps might occur. But there is no need for suctioning as it is with bladeless surgery. Glaucoma patients experience greater intraocular pressure and so blade surgery is safer. If one undergoes blade LASIK surgery, they may need a second one after a few months. In the bladeless surgery, the femtosecond laser helps improve the safety of the process. Finally, the choice of the method boils down to personal preference. Depending on the situation and physical condition, one must choose the best procedure.
