  1. Mechanical Face Seals for Applications in Bituminous Oil Sand & High corrosive Environments. 30 April 2018 SAP PARTS™ INNOVATIVE SEALING TECHNLOGY EL-Series Mechanical Face Seals BY SAP PARTS™ F E A T U R E S H I G H W E A R R E S I S T A N T  C O R R O S I O N R E S I S T A N T S E R V I C E L I F E - 30000H RS .  S U I T A B L E IN  B I T U M I N O U S O I L S A N D E N V I R O N M E N T New EL-Series Mechanical Face Seals with increased wear and corrosion resistance are developed by SAP Parts™ are one of its kind specially designed solutions which can ideally perform in Bituminous Oil Sand applications The high corrosion and erosion resistance properties of the Metal Faces coated with combination of multiple anticorrosion technologies yield an exceptionally high performing mechanical Face seal in challenging Oil sand environment. EL Series new generation Metal Face Seals product by SAP Parts™ involves active sealing surface coated by High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) coating of WC-CO-Cr ( 6-10- 4)that gives higher wear life. Also the sealing surface exposed to environment is coated with special Anti- Corrosion Cr3C2 + NiCr coating forming a hard layer.

  3. Technical Data & Application Conditions. Page 3 Technical Data:  1.Field of application: Mining industry, open pit mines 2.Expected lifetime: 30.000 working hours 3.Ambient condition: Extremely dusty, ice, water, mud 4.Humidity (rel.) 0% to 100% 5.Temperature: -40°C / +50°C 6.Road conditions: Truck can sink in mud up to center of wheel hub. Snow, oil sands, wet gravel, dry gravel Dust suppression liquid may be other than neutral PH Other Considerations: The truck is commonly cleaned with high pressure steam cleaner. The water 0,15 mm peak to peak max. vibration. 1.Rotational speed: max. 90 1/min 2.Oil temperature: - 40°C / +90°C 3.Oil quality: DIN 51517-3 CLP-HC 320 4.Oil pressure: From inside, max. 0,3 bar Oil Sand Specifications: Clay Lens, Connate Water , Silica Sand, Fine Clay, Bitumen, Quartz, Slit, Water. A typical oil sands deposit contains about 10% bitumen, 5% water and 85% solids. However, the bitumen content can be as high as 20% in some sections. The solids contained in oil sands deposits are primarily quartz silica sand (usually over 80%), with a small fraction of potassium feldspar and fine clays. Clay minerals typically consist of kaolinite, illite, chlorite and smectite. Deposits that have a high fines content tend to have a lower bitumen content. © SAP PARTS PVT.LTD. 85,B.U.Bhandari Indl.Esatate, Sanaswadi, Pune 412208 INDIA – www.sapparts.com
