Pt. 540-5-83 Age 71, White Male Presented with asymptomatic lesions on right and left buccal mucosa. Lesions were multiple pale yellow granular-like spots/bumps 1-2mm wide with distinct borders. Lesion remains in epithelial layer only. Lesions become more obvious when mucosa is stretched.

  3. Pt HistoryMed Hx:Mild HTN, tx with medsHospitalized for Nasal Polyps removal in 1981 and for pneumonia in 2010Malignant basal cells removed by freezing procedure years ago. No recurrences.Meds: Benazopril, Felodipine, Simvastatin, Aspirin, Fish Oils, Nasal Spray prnAllergies: NKDA

  4. Differential Diagnosis Allergic reaction Trauma Leukoedema Provisional Diagnosis: Fordyce Granules Fordyce granules are asymptomatic markings of the buccal mucosa. They are very common and are usually considered a variant of normal. Their histology reveals that they are a type of sebaceous gland. Diagnosis
