DLM Status • Defense Logistics Manual (DLM) 4000.25 series of publications • Initial issuance of DLSS/DLMS manuals as DLMs published June 2012 • Numerous Approved DLMS Changes were incorporated • DLM format is basically the same as DoD 4000.25 DLSS/DLMS manuals • Formal Changes to DLMs • Change 1 published December 2012, • Change 2 expected in June 2013 • DLMs are published on the DLA Logistics Management Standards Website at www.dla.mil/j-6/dlmso/elibrary/manuals/dlm/dlm_pubs.asp

Combining DLSS and DLMS Manuals • Background: • DLSS/DLMS procedures are covered by multiple sets of manuals • DoD 4140.1-R mandated move to DLMS procedures • DoD Components are migrating to the DLMS • DLA Logistics Management Standards no longer has the resources to maintain separate sets of DLSS and DLMS manuals • Current process of maintaining two sets of publications, which contain essentially the same information for the different formats, is resource intensive, duplicative in nature, and no longer practical • DLA Logistics Standards Management is moving towards combining DLSS manuals with DLMS manual • Multi-step process

Combining DLSS and DLMS Manuals(cont’d) • Combined DLSS/DLMS Manual: • Maintain visibility of DLSS peculiar terminology where applicable • Appendices covering legacy DLSS formats may be removed from manuals and reside on the DLMSO Website • Status of combining DLSS with DLMS: • Effort Complete: • DoD 4000.25-6-M DoDAAD Manual moved to DLMS Vol 6, Chapter 2 (ADC 251) • DoD 4000.25-8-M MAPAD Manual moved DLMS Vol 6, Chapter 3 (ADC 336) • DoD 4000.25-7-M MILSBILLS combined w/DLMS Vol 4 Finance (ADC 469) • Reporting of Supply Discrepancies – Cancelled DLAI4140.55, AR 735-11-2, SECNAVINST 4355.18A, AFJMAN 23-215, moved into DLMS Vol 2, Chapter 17 (ADC 488) • Effort Underway: Estimate Completion CY 2014(Includes alignment of the DLMS Vol 2 chapter structure with the present DLSS (MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP) chapter structure • DLM 4000.25-1 MILSTRIP combining w/DLMS Vol 2 Supply Standards and Procedures • DLM 4000.25-2 MILSTRAP combining w/DLMS Vol 2 Supply Standards and Procedures
