  2. Maria-Dolors Pellicer va néixer a Oliva (la Safor) l’any 1956. És llicenciada en Filologia Catalana per la Universitat d’Alacant i treballa com a mestra. Ha estat sempre molt relacionada amb el món de la literatura infantil, arran del seu treball com a mestra d’escola. Comença a publicar obres de creació l’any 1988, concretament el llibre Xé, quins peus!. Després publica, entre d’altres, Fil que penja (1989), que quedà finalista del premi Enric Valor de 1988, La banda dels superbruts (1990), El gegant Romuald (1992) o Com una cabra (2000).
