  1. Social security disability attorney has an important role in preparing for the claimants social security disability or SSD hearing. The disability hearing is a crucial aspect for the success of the claim and as such, the claimant must hire a social security disability attorney for claiming his /her social security benefits. The social security disability attorney is the right person to prepare the claimant for his/her disability hearing and explain to the claimant what to expect at the hearing. The social security disability hearings are less formal than a typical court hearing and one major difference is the location. The hearing room in a Social Security disability case is usually of a small size and may contain some official signets such as the seal of the Social Security Administration or an American Flag. A social security disability attorney would make sure that the claimant understands the order in which things happen at the hearing. The majority of the judges during the Social Security disability case hearings recount the “case history” of the disability claim by reciting about the issues to be decided. The judges often enumerate what a claimant needs to prove in order to be awarded disability benefits but they rarely provide a simple explanation. 2. Some statements pronounced by judges may give the claimant a false notion that they have to be bedridden for getting disability benefits. Therefore, if the judge’s statement or explanation is not clear, then the claimant must ask his/her social security disability attorney for further clarification. The role of social security disability attorney in such hearing cases come to the fore in those Social Security Disability cases wherein some judges may expect the Social Security Disability attorney to do most of the questioning instead of the claimant. In such cases, the concerned claimant must answer his/her to the Social Security Disability attorney’s questions in detail as if talking to a stranger. The claimant should assume that the judge knows very little about his/her case even though the judge may have read the claimant’s file prior to the disability hearing. Therefore, the claimant must provide the SSD attorney with as much details as possible regarding his/her disability status to get succeeded in getting his/her disability claim benefits.
