  4. Introduction of Subculture  Subcultures are those groups that have values and norms that are distinct from those held by the majority  A subculture is a set of traditions that surrounds a lifestyle, music scene, art movement, literary style, fashion clique, political movement , profession, sports, hobby, set of circumstances or philosophy.  Anything that causes people to identify with each other to form a set of shared traditions can be considered a subculture. 4 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  5. Cause of formation of Subculture The main cause of formation of a different culture from the main culture is that

  6.  The followers of the main culture in some places don’t accept the values and traditions that are normal.  It can be taken as a negative trait as they criticize the cultures that are accepted as standards and norms.  People are neglected in the society and it encourages them to find a new culture group with a separate identity and interest.  Due to this, they acquire cultural knowledge that helps in increasing their status to higher levels than other groups. 6 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  7. Popular Fashion Subcultures Some of the popular subcultures around the World are

  8. Cyber Goths  While traditional goths are stuck in the past, Cybergoths are the exact opposite.  Filled with futuristic and progressive style, body modifications, radical, wild and bizarre clothes, they’re often referred to as “the goths of the future."  It’s a subculture that definitely needs major commitment and dedication to obtain the look.  The trend is now gaining popularity for having an out of this world concept. 8 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  9. Hair & Make-up  Hair: Cybergoth hair is normally big and filled with neon strands. These colorful things you see are dread falls. Dread falls are sometimes made out of synthetic hair and styled into candy cane swirls or transistor dreads.  Make up: Most of their make- up matches their outfit. Eyeshadow is bold and bright, sometimes matching the lip color. Heavy eyeliner and false eyelashes are also worn for the effect of bigger and fuller lashes. Lip color varies from black, red, green, blue or ombre. 9 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  10. Clothing & Body Modification  Clothing: Cyber goth fashion consists of color co-ordinated corsets in black with a pop of neon colors. Reflectorized clothes, gothic dresses and glow in the dark ones are also very popular. Platform boots we see from typical goths are the same for cybergoths. For the head and hair, they wear futuristic goggles on their cyberlox. They usually cover up their face with gas masks.  Body Modification: Piercings and scarification are common. Some embellish themselves with studs and crystals, others have multiple facial piercings, while others go for tattoos. 10 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  11. Punk  Punk subculture is a movement that appeared in the mid 70’s and it was very popular for about a decade but even today we can still find its mark all around us.  It centers on punk rock music but it also incorporates a large variety of ideologies and different forms of expression, just like visual arts, literature, movies or even dance.  The most popular type of music in those times was punk rock-a very aggressive type of rock that contains a lot of soul ad passion.  Punk ideology encourages masses to take their lives in their own hands and it promotes the DYI ethic and the non-conformity. 11 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  12. Hipster  The subculture is associated with independent music, alternative fashion and lifestyles and independent political views.  Hipsters tend to be liberal and open to everything. Hipsters also tend to be full of irony and sarcasm.  The main rule is that clothes should look old and vintage. It should look like a person did not care what he/she put on in the morning.  The whole point of hipsters is that they avoid labels and being labeled. However, they all dress the same and act the same and conform in their non-conformity.” 12 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784

  27.  Fashion has always been a way of expression. These subcultures were formed as breakaways from rigid societies and communal norms.  Groups that identified themeselves and adapted everything that was not “mainstream”.  While there were tea parties and elegant suits, they stood apart by wearing ripped jeans and printed Tees.  While women were asked to dress like ladies the hippies and punks begged to differ. These sense of identification soon became a strong fashion statement. 27 Dream Zone Alambagh & Hazratganj / 9919990551 / 9919977784
