  5. Italian Ice – Cream = gelato

  6. Let’s take a look at the picture again. • What if this picture appears in your oral exam? And the teacher asks… “ Look at the picture… Do you like ice – cream?” What would you say? Clue: What are the secret weapons that I have taught you?

  7. Remember, no one worded answers can give you a high score! We need to hear a story from you!

  8. Yes! I love ice – cream! (What) It is my most favourite dessert because (why)they are really delicious. The ice-cream that I like most is gelato. (Where)Gelato comes from Italy and there are many shops selling them in Singapore today. Gelato is more sweeter than the normal ice-cream that we buy in tubs from the supermarket and are mostly handmade. (How)

  9. (When)I usually eat ice – cream whenever I feel bored or when I feel stressed. The colours of the gelato always attract me to buy them. My whole family loves ice – cream but we have to be careful not to overindulge in it because eating to much of ice – cream can makes us unhealthy. We need to eat ice- cream in moderation. ( Pros and Cons)

  10. No, I don’t like ice - cream

  11. No, I don’t like ice - cream I love eating ice- kacang! They are really colourful and delicious. Ice kacang is a local delicacy usually found in hawker centres and can cost as low as $1.50! I usually eat them as a dessert after my lunch or dinner. There are many ingredients in ice – kacang besides ice shavings. There are red beans, jelly, cincau and even some fruits are added. My favourite is the durian ice – kacang because the creamy texture of the durian on the ice makes it more appetizing! My mum warns me not to eat too much of it as it is really sweet. Usually I will share it with my siblings so that I wouldn’t be so full.

  12. Your turn now! Take a look at the worksheet I have given to you • Number yourself 1 and 2. • Partner 1 will be given 3 minutes to talk about the topic. Partner 2 will be tasked to write down whatever partner 1 has told them. • After the time is up, switch roles.
