Empowering Youth Preaching: UK Youth Preach Week 2013

Join us from August 3rd to 10th, 2013, for UK Youth Preach Week, an exciting opportunity for young people to develop their preaching abilities. Over three days of preparation and four days of practical preaching, participants will engage in intensive training sessions, exploring topics like the importance of preaching and evidence for the truth of the Bible. Youth will work in groups to share their faith through various outreach activities, making meaningful connections and developing confidence in sharing the Gospel.

  3. Rationale • 200 young people + UK brethren and sisters = Fantastic Resource! • To help the young people develop their preaching abilities • An opportunity to increase their confidence and enthusiasm in sharing our hope “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

  4. Part One - Preparation • 3 extra nights at the Pioneer Centre at no further cost (Sat - Tue) • Intensive preparation for preaching • Training sessions in a variety of formats on different topics with different leaders

  5. Part One - Preparation • Sessions to include: • Why Preach? • What kind of preacher are you? • Evidence for the truth of the Bible (archeology, prophecy, the Jews etc.) • Tough questions / Wrested scriptures • Practical preaching ideas

  6. Part Two - Preaching • Divide into groups of approx. 20 • Travel to allocated location • Expenses covered • Accommodation provided • 4 days of preaching with brethren and sisters throughout the UK (Tue-Sat) • Rendezvous and feedback on final weekend

Running a Bible exhibition and Bible talks • Dramatic production of the enquiry into Jesus’ death and resurrection. • Street preaching to a lively city centre / urban population • Puppet shows • And much, much more…! • Running a shop or literature stall • Barbecues • Learn English with the Bible Course • Market stalls • Meals with Contacts • Face Painting • Music • Coffee Mornings • Outreach • Agricultural shows • Holiday clubs • Questionnaires
