We read of a place that’s called heaven,It’s made for the pure and the free;These truths in God’s Word He hath given In heaven no drooping nor pining,No wishing for elsewhere to be;God’s light is forever there shining Pure waters of life there are flowing,And all who will drink may be free;Rare jewels of splendor are glowing, “How beautiful heaven must be”

  2. 1.) How often we need to stop and consider the beauties of heaven. 2.) What a vast contrast to what we see around us in the world today. 3.) Words are not adequate to describe such a place; yet God’s word does talk about it and surely, we need to talk about it as well. Matthew 6:19-20- Lay not up yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

  3. 1.)Heaven is neither a condition, nor a state, but an actual place to where we have a chance of going to. Jesus Spoke of it- Matt 6:9, Matt 7:11, John 14:1-2 Stephen spoke of it- Acts 7:56 Paul- 2 Corinthians 5:1, Philippians 3:20 Heaven is a place 2.) Scriptural names given for Heaven The New Jerusalem- Revelation 21:2 The City of God- Hebrews 12:22 Paradise- 2 Cor.12:4 Our Father’s House- John 14:1-6

Real people will be there 1 Corinthians 15:50- Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. • Jesus Christ- Acts 1:9 • Elijah- 2 Kings 2:11 • Enoch- Gen 5:24 • Moses- Matt 17:3 • Stephen- Acts 7:59-60 • All of the Faithful- Rev 2:10 Some who will be there:

  5. Heaven will be a happy place Revelation 21:4- And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

  6. Question…??????? Why aren’t we talking More about it??? 1.) Religious Confusion- Eph 4:5 2.) Talking about other things- 1 Peter 4:10-11 3.) Too busy judging/fighting- Romans 14:10-13 4.) People just don’t care- 2 Corinthians 4:3

  7. Heaven will be a place of beauty Words have difficulty describing its beauty, but words are all that we have. And the Holy Spirit used words to describe its beauty. Revelation 21:9-22:5

  8. Closing • AND, it will last forever and ever. • 2. Don't you wish to go there?? How could one possible not want to go to heaven? • 3. Yet, multitudes are not preparing for that journey. They are grouping through these days, floundering in iniquity, doing that which pleases them, with no thought of pleasing God. • 4. God has not left us without a map, without instructions. • 5. Christ Jesus states that He is the way. John 14:6; Mt. 7:21. • 6. Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. • 7. Hell is a prepared place for unprepared people. • 8. PREPARE TODAY, while time and opportunity is yours
