  3. WHAT IS ORGANIC CLOTHING? • Organic clothing are clothes where the fibre used in manufacturing of the clothes are grown organically. • Organic farming doesn’t use chemical fertilizers or pesticides that can harm the environment. • Organic farming also uses other eco-friendly techniques like crop rotation for the benefit of the land and soil. • Only non-genetically-modified seeds are used for growing the fibre for example cotton. • Even the process of manufacturing of the clothes like bleaching, carding, dying, etc. involves no use of chemicals that can harm the nature or environment.

  4. HOW TO IDENTIFY PURE ORGANIC CLOTHES • Clothes that have been labelled organic need not necessarily be 100% organic. They can be a mix of organic and non-organic manufacturing techniques and still be called organic. • Bu clothes that say are 100% organic • Look for clothes that say GOTS certified

  5. ARE THEY REALLY BETTER? • Organic clothes are always better than their non-organic counterparts the most important reason being that - • They do not contain a huge dosage of the chemicals that can harm the environment and your health. • They are good for the farmers as organic cotton are sold at a slightly higher price than conventional cotton.

  6. Therefore organic clothing is the way to go. Sure they might not be as organic as you think and they might not even completely save the environment. But it is a step forward to giving back and with continuous technological advancements organic farming will prevail.
