Choctaw U Accomplishments • Choctaw University is only 5 years old. • Since its inception in 2012, CU has awarded 342 Continuing Education Series Certificates, and 588 Leadership Series Certificates. • Choctaw U received a record number of applicants for 2017! We are completing 5 freshman and 3 sophomore classes this year. We will expand the Junior level in 2018 and the Senior level in 2019.

Choctaw U Accomplishments • To date, Choctaw University assisted 21 associates in completing their Bachelor’s degrees. • Alumni and students have gone on to pursue Master’s degrees in Native American Leadership with our program partner, Southeastern Oklahoma State University. • In 2016 alone, Choctaw University awarded 636 hours of college credit to associates enrolled in the program.

Choctaw U Accomplishments • In 2016, Choctaw U presented the Continuing Education Series at the Association for Continuing Higher Education National Conference in New Orleans, LA. • In 2016, Choctaw U was highlighted at the National Native American Human Resource Association (NNAHRA) Annual Conference in Portland, OR as the model for leadership development for other tribal organizations.

  8. Choctaw U Accomplishments • In 2016, Choctaw University has expanded its ability to serve associates by launching the Choctaw U Alumni Program. This program extends the leadership opportunity beyond the four-year program to the life of each individual’s career at Choctaw Nation.
