  2. Agenda What is Cloud Computing Advantages Challenges & Legalities Conclusion

  3. Overview Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a utility (like the electricity grid) over the Internet.

  4. Cloud Computing Advantages Reduced Cost 1 Increased Storage 2 Highly Automated 3 Cloud technology is paid incrementally, saving organizations money. Organizations can store more data than on private computer systems. No longer do IT personnel need to worry about keeping software up to date. Flexibility 4 More Mobility 5 Allows IT to Shift Focus 6 Cloud computing offers much more flexibility than past computing methods. Employees can access data wherever they are, rather than having to remain at their desks. No longer having to worry about constant server updates and other computing issues.

  5. General challenges

  6. Unknown expectations How to get the data when you are no longer using the CSP? How to make sure that CSP will delete the data after termination? data backup obligations Trade secrets protection

  7. Conclusion Each business has its unique requirements for using cloud services. Signing the standard cloud provider agreements may be convenient, but risky. Any company using the cloud needs to properly protect its IT and data with a cloud agreement that is clear and specific to its own requirements

  8. Thank you
