  1. Mango Ripening & Storing The Delicious and juicy Mango has long been one of the world's most popular fruits. The fruit's flavor is often described as an exotic mix of pineapple and peach. Mangoes are available from April to September, but June and July usually offer the best pick and prices. First, weight the Mangoes and choose one that is heavy for its size. Then look at its shape. You want aplump mango, not a flat one that could be stringy. You should smell a fruity aromawhen held near your nose. When choosing a mango, don’t focus on color, always judge by feel. The redness you’ll see on some varieties is not a good indication of ripeness. A Ripe Mango has a yielding but not mushy flesh. How to choose a Mango 1. Don't focus on color. It is not the best indicator of ripeness. 2. Squeeze the Mango gently. A Ripe Mango will give slightly.

Once mangoes are ripe, you can put them in colder Storage like the Fridge. •Fresh mangoes in the fridge can last up to 6 days. •The internal temperature of your fridge should stay at around 40°F (4°C).
