How it began • The women's baseball league was created in 1943 in attempt to save the major league baseball parks from bankruptcy • The women's baseball league was started in the middle of world war 2 and all the men were drafted to war leaving the fields empty
Leagues owner • The league went through three periods of ownership. The League was owned by chewing gum mogul Philip K. Wrigley[1] from 1943 to 1945, Arthur Meyerhoff from 1945 to 1951, and the teams were individually owned from 1951 to 1954.
One of there best players • One of the best players on the all American girls baseball league was Sophie Kurys ,Kurys was by far the greatest base stealer in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League history

Wrigley saw that people loved to see the arm and leg revealing uniforms that others had worn, so he outiftted the players in short, flashy skirts, when he created the league in 1943.[c • The boys baseball uniform was safe from harm because they wore pants, and it was more comfortable for the boys to play in.
Players thoughts about the league • It was the best time of my life,” said Jean Faut, 87. Faut played in the league from 1946 to 1953 for the South Bend Blue Sox. She was an overhand pitcher and pitched two perfect games in her career.
