  7. Love is relational and prayer is the way that we receive God’s love

  8. 1 John 3:1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

  9. “See he shows how much he loves me -- He comes near to me so that I may love him!”

  10. Sin can hinder the way we receive God’s love

  11. 1 John 3:4-6 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

  12. Relational love allows for communication of what we want and need
