Overview Warm Front scheme re-opened April 2011 Revised changes to the qualifying criteria have made it difficult to find eligible households 2011-12 budget £110 million with additional £10 million from Dept of Health. Next year’s budget £100 million £30 million underspend – money will go back to Treasury and not carried over as in previous years

  3. Promotion Joint mailshots • This month - Arun • Planned to go any day now - Chiltern and Dartford • In discussions with Winchester, Horsham, Milton Keynes, Tonbridge & Malling, Brighton & Hove, Tunbridge Wells, Isle of Wight

  4. Promotion Other activity • A5 flyers in with other mailings, doctors surgeries, libraries, etc. • Leaflets – email terri.wilson@carillionplc.com • Articles for newsletters and press releases

  5. Projects National • Working with the 6 major utility companies on making Warm Front referrals • Citizens Advice Bureau having joint branded Warm Front leaflets • Recent Direct Marketing campaign to over 600,000 potential Warm Front customers

  6. Projects South East • Working with Wealden on a rural project – training energy champions, community organisation workshops, parish events • Working with NEA and Local authorities to promote Warm Front uptake

  7. Year-to-date South East • Received over 4,500 qualifying referrals • Spend nearly £17 million • Cavity wall insulation – 224 • Loft insulation – 448 • Heating works – 4,573

Eligibility reminder • Pension Credit - guaranteed or savings credit • Income-related Employment and Support Allowancethat includes a work related activity or support component • Income Support or Income-based Jobseekers Allowance and have one of the following:- - parental responsibility for a child under 5 - child tax credit (which must include a disability or severe disability element for a child or young person) - disabled child premium - disability premium (enhanced or severed disability element premium) - pensioner premium (higher or enhanced pensioner premium)
