Unclassified Stability Operations The Army’s two core competencies—combined arms maneuver and wide area security—provide the means for balancing the application of Army warfighting functions within the tactical actions and tasks inherent in offensive, defensive, and stability operations. - ADP 3-0

  5. Unclassified LTAT • The LTAT was created to instruct ANSF/AUP on multidimensional logistical operations. • The team of 13 SMEs was headed by a 1st Lieutenant and had soldiers who specialized in: • Maintenance - Communications • Fuel - Logistics • Supply • Medical

  6. Unclassified Initial Training • The LTAT focused on training the AUP • Sustainment Excellence Days

  7. Unclassified Follow on Training • Site assistance visits (SAV) • Throughout Kandahar • Joint effort with LTAT, SFAT and Provincial HQ • Transition to having the ANSF/AUP instruct classes

  8. Unclassified Results • Allowed AUP/ANSF to maintain a high operational tempo • Trained 894 AUP in 7 months • 500 were trained by other AUP instructors • Instructed 46 ISAF partners
