Background • PSA analyzed twenty-one (21) sets of purported emails and six (6) sets of standard (TVIRD) emails. • Two different formats of purported emails were identified. • First Batch: Email Attachments that were sent by an anonymous sender with an email address, balabagbayog@yahoo.com to Yulo Perez, VP for Operations and COO and Ret. Gen. Emmanual Cayton, Director for Security • Second Batch: Email Attachments that were sent by a certain Edgar Baling with email address, egaybaling@gmail.com to anti-mining groups, NGOs and foreign investors.

Conclusion • Based on our investigation, the purported emails were either adulterated fabrications of real TVI emails or fraudulent fabrications of non-existent TVI emails. • They show numerous badges of tampering, editing and intercalation which destroy either their integrity or legitimacy. • Purported Emails which have headers of Radix Email Security System were all fraudulent fabrications • “If it can happen to a major foreign company. It can happen to you.”
