UPMC Supplier Diversity History Begun in 1989, and re-engineered in 2006, UPMC’s award winning Supplier Diversity Program, is designed to provide diverse owned/certified (minority, woman, LGBTQ, Veteran/Disabled Veteran, disability) equal access to procurement opportunities. UPMC’s Supplier Diversity program ensures that certified diverse owned businesses are provided the maximum opportunity to participate as partners and suppliers of goods and services to UPMC.

IBEX and UPMC Partnership • UPMC and UPMC HealthPlan needed a system to retain diverse vendor certification information ensuring vendors remained certified through contract periods • UPMC needed a way to retain current diverse vendor contact information for future use through UPMC Corporate Services and UPMC HealthPlan future purchasing • UPMC needed a system that could be managed in house and with limited resources • Diverse vendors needed a simple system to import information • IBEX partnered with UPMC Supply Chain/ Supplier Diversity teams to design and deliver the UPMC Supplier Diversity Web Portal. • UPMC, in assisting IBEX’s business growth potential, has afforded IBEX all IP related to the portal • IBEX has ensured 98% uptime of the web portal since it’s launch in July 2018 • IBEX’s team has grown as a result of the portal’s launch.
