Project Details • Phase 1 (Knob Hill Avenue to Pearl Street) • Replace 2,885 feet of water main lines and install 9 new fire hydrants • Project will improve water quality, increase fire flow, and increase water reliability • Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. • Construction will begin March 1 and end by May 26

  4. Estimated Timeline • March 1-3 Phase 1 construction to begin • March 6 – April 6 New pipeline to be installed • April 6 - 12 Fire hydrants to be installed • April 13 – May 22 Services to be tied-in • May 26 Phase 1 construction completed

  5. Traffic Control

  6. Potential Impacts • Access to businesses and residences on east side of PCH may be obstructed for 1-2 days between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. • Traffic control plan may limit accessibility and parking availability on Pacific Coast Highway • Additional noise and dust not expected to be inordinately disruptive • Water service may be temporarily interrupted during tie-in to new water main line
