What is iBooks? • An application by Apple Inc. • First announced in conjunction with the iPad on January 27, 2010. iBook 2 was announced on January 19, 2012. • “Introducing an entirely new kind of textbook that’s dynamic, current, engrossing, and truly interactive. A textbook created by publishers using a new authoring tool from Apple. A textbook brought to life by iPad.”
