Out of hours services on the Chase Farm site Pathology Open 8am-9pm daily Pharmacy Open: Mon - Fri 9am-5pm Saturday 9am-12.30pm Sunday - closed Radiology Open 8am-9pm daily Evenings: After 9pm, contact switchboard for the on-call Radiographer who can attend the Chase Farm site for urgent x-rays & CT scans • Evenings after 9pm – any urgent samples can be transported to Barnet pathology. • Take sample to Canterbury ward sluice, place in pathology transport bag. • Inform site manager who will arrange transport to Barnet Evenings: Check drug location on Intranet.  If still unable to locate supply and URGENT request via on-call pharmacist via switchboard. MRI – oncall available via switchboard Weekends: Saturday service 9am-12.30pm (TTA cut off 12 noon) Sunday – no service at Chase Farm.  Check drug location on Intranet.  If still unable to locate supply and URGENT request via Barnet pharmacy 9.30-1.30pm (TTA & requests cut off 12.30pm) Dispensed items will be sent to Wellington ward by 2pm for all wards to collect. After 1.30pm contact the on-call pharmacist via switchboard Blood transfusionout of hours –order as normal, selecting ‘Transfuse at Chase Farm’. The order will print in the BH BTL & Chase Farm. BLEEP 2177 to discuss requirements and to check whether the lab has a valid sample or if one is needed. If a sample is required follow above process. If blood needs to be sent to Chase Farm the site manager will receive and store it in the THEATRE FRIDGE. Blood requested during the day will be in the ISSUE fridge in pathology. (Refer to out of hours transfusion policy) Inpatient Therapy services 8- 4.00 Orthopaedics and Rehab 8.30--4.30 - remaining inpatients Office ext 1490 • Limited weekend service 8.30-4.30 • for PT & OT, accessed via bleep numbers. • Medical/Surgical = Barnet Bleep 2240 • Ortho Bleep 3975 • Neuro Rehab Bleep 3601 • General rehab Bleep 3678 Site team 24hours/7days CSM bleep is 3939 Office ext is 2045 Blood gas analyser - 24hr access to POCU gas machine Mon-Fri 24/7 access to Biochemistry gas machine in specimen reception area of Pathology.
