EIT InnoEnergy at EE The European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) initiative InnoEnergy is the new European consortium for innovative energy technologies, energy research and education. Together with the Swedish partners, Uppsala University, Vattenfall and ABB, KTH at EE is responsible for coordinating the European Smart Electric Grid and Electric Storage node. PhD school in Smart Electricity Grid and Storage The PhD students at EE are expected to be the prime developers of the smart electricity grid and storage systems of the future. • 80 PhD students by 2014. • The program runs over four years. • The first year is primarily devoted to specialized courses in subject areas, including course modules on management and entrepreneurship. • A minimum of 6 months exchange at another partner organization • Required internships at sponsoring companies. • All Ph.D. positions are fully financed by InnoEnergy partners and the EIT.  KTH School of Electrical Engineering • Signal Processing • www.ee.kth.se

  5. EIT ICT labs at EE KTH is the node director of Europe’s biggest initiatives in ICT. Through EIT ICT Labs the European Institute of Innovation and Technology aims at turning this European consortium into a global leader in ICT Innovation, as the key enabler to enhance the quality of life for everyone. Together with the Swedish core partners, KTH, Ericsson AB, SICS, the Stockholm node has an enlarged commitment in EIT ICT Labs Education and the thematic action line for Future Media and Content Delivery.
