  2. What are Drugs, and What do They do? • A Drug, as you may already know, is a substance which have a varying range of effects on the human body, like giving you a high for example. • But these drugs are different from the stuff you’d get at the pharmacy for your cold. These drugs do harmful things to your body like; killing off brain cells, causing all kinds of diseases, and so on. • Drugs like Crystal Meth cause mass hallucinations which make the user pick at them self causing self harm or they become aggravated when the drug has worn off and start going into withdrawal.

  3. Types of Drugs • Downers: They give the user a high, making them feel happy or they don’t want to do anything at all but hit hard after the drug has worn off, basically making them sleepy. (Ex:Weed) • Uppers: They make the user all hyper and affect processes in the body like your heart rate by speeding them up. (Ex:Cocaine) • Prescription Meds: Ok, remember when I said the stuff you use for your cold is, like, the exact opposite of these drugs…I lied…sort of. Prescription Meds can be deadly if taken in high doses, if a person takes too much its called Over-Dosing. Meds are supposed to be taken in small doses so it can do its magic and clear out your sore throat or whatever illness you have. • Alcohol: We get it, 16-18 years old, you wanna drink like a party animal. But if abused, your body will begin to shut down, starting out with something like, oh lets say, your liver. One of the problems that can occur is that your liver will inflame and scar when its trying to repair itself, this is called Oxidative stress.

  4. Just Say NO!! • I'm guessing that you’ve heard about twenty quadrillion times before in ten billion different ways to stay away from drugs. Those sayings that might sound dumb are actually saving your life from the worst thing on the planet that can ruin your body, life, and state of mind. • I always think of life with drugs as an old Nintendo Game Boy game that had a bad cheat code put into its and its now unplayable. Just like those cheats drugs will just down right mess you up. Drugs are The Cheat Codes of Life. DON’T USE THEM!!!
