Additionally, many athletes play less efficiently because their structural system is not balanced. We know that taking painkillers is not always necessary, and often dangerous; such drugs merely mask the symptoms if taken long-term following an injury, ultimately deceiving the athlete into a false sense of wellness that could actually make his or her physical injury more serious.
