Supreme Knight honored for his efforts to advance Marian dev

Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson of the Knights of Columbus speaks Dec. 9 after being awarded the Patronal Medal at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. The Catholic University of America and the shrine jointly award the medal on an occasional basis near the feast of the Immaculate Conception to someone who has rendered distinguished service in advancing Marian devotion, theology or general appreciation of the place of Mary in the life of the Catholic Church.
