Cosmetic dentistry has become a booming industry over the last decade. The surveys conducted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in 2007 showed that the two thirds of patients seeking cosmetic dental treatment were female. The AACD data also revealed that the average cosmetic dentistry patient spent a total of $5,000-6,000 at their dentist's office in 2006.
