Why is there no reference to "the people" in the process to elect the president? In place of individual citizens, who does Article II empower with tremendous influence in the process? (Don't write "the electoral college" because the words are nowhere in the entire Constitution). Once we have analyzed the system in place for electing the president, what process do you think would be better?
