Creative Diagnostics are designed to detect plant diseases either by identifying the presence of the pathogen (by testing pathogen protein or DNA) or the molecules (proteins) produced by pathogen or the plant during infection. By identifying an infection before it becomes visible, or by tailoring the treatment after differentiating visible infections, those diagnostics can save plants from irreparable damage by pathogens, thus minimizing losses caused by those pests.
