The total attenuation coefficients, Âµ/Ï, of some biologically important vitamins containing H, C, N and O have been studied as a function of weight fraction of constituent elements. A considerable change in Âµ/Ï is seen only in low energy region whereas no change is observed with the increasing percentage of constituent elements (hydrogen, carbon, oxygen and nitrogen) in high energy region up to 1500 keV.
