Patrick Burns joined the DMCJA Legislative Committee in 1997.In 1998, he was elected as a presiding judge for the Auburn Municipal Court.Patrick Burns has also been serving as a DMCJA Salary and Benefits Committee Chair for 2002-04 and 2007-2012.As being an committee incharge, he became intensively involved with mental health court, drug court, veterans court etc and alternatives to jails to help those affected.Currently, he is a pro tem Judicial Officer at the Kent and Kirkland Municipal Courts.
