  1. Zanzibar is a stunning island filled with culture, not to say its lovely beaches. To make sure you are seeing the best of what the island has to offer, check out this list of the top things to see and do on your Zanzibar holiday safaris. Spend some time in Stone Town: Stone Town is the heart & soul of the island. An amazing mash-up of winding alleys & old Arabic-style buildings, you can temporarily lose yourself (both physically & mentally) in the town’s magic. Soak up the local culture while sipping a cup of coffee from a local vendor or just keep on ambling through the streets, discovering unique little spots at every turn.

  2. Prison Island is a must-see Zanzibar attraction: Also recognized as Changuu, Prison Island is an 800 by 200 metre island found about 6 kilometres north-west of Stone Town. Although there are wonderful coral areas to snorkel around Prison Island & you’ll have plenty of time to do so, the real attractions are the massive turtles and a highly fascinating Slave Trade Museum. Spice Plantation Tour A Spice Tour is something that a lot of visitors decide to leave out in favor with more beach time. But the Spice Islands are still swarming with, erm, spice and a tour of a local plantation is an excellent way to see how Zanzibar became a vital stop on the trade routes from the 18th century. Spices still grown on the island include cloves, vanilla, green pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. Most tours include lunch along with an opportunity to sample the produce.

  3. Catch some sun at Nungwi beach: Nungwiis a village found on Zanzibar’s North West tip. This is a renowned place yet it’s not overrun by travelers, and it is one of Zanizbar’s top beaches as the tide does not head out too far. This is an excellent beach for those looking to just soak up some sun & dip their toes in the sea but who don’t need the luxury of a fancy hotel on top. Enjoy excellent views & fine food at The Rock The Rock restaurant provides some stunning views of the island, as it’s located on a rock with a view over all the city’s major sights. Visitors don’t just come for the view though – fine dining also waits with some of the finest seafood Zanzibar has to offer. Ensure to book as this exclusive eatery has only 12 tables and it’s usually fully booked. Those are the top things to see and explore the beauty of that place with Zanzibar Holiday Safari.
