China has 590 million tons of bauxite reserves, only 2% of the world total. China imported 68.55 million tons of bauxite in 2017, up by 31.7% YOY. China imported 82.62 million tons of bauxite in 2018, up by 20.5% YOY. The imports totaled 25.8 million tons in Q1 2019, up by about 26.5% YOY.   4. 2. Jamaica Bauxite 1) Jamaica & its Bauxite Jamaica is an island country situated in the Caribbean Sea. Spanning 10,990 square kilometres in area, it is a member of Commonwealth Realms and sports power with sprinter Usain Bolt as the most well-known athlete.  Jamaica is rich in bauxite resources, mainly distributed in the mountains of the north of islands. The seam is close to the surface, with the location near to the port. The ore body is like bird nest and is mainly composed of gibbsite. As an important bauxite producer and exporter in the world, the country presents reserves of 2.5 billion tons and a minable capacity of 1.5 billion tons, ranking fourth in the world.

This practice conforms to the environmental protection regulations of the Jamaican government and has been praised and promoted by the local government on many occasions.

Jamaica-China ♦ Panamax bulk carrier (60-70kt) travels through the Panama Canal after shipment at the port, and sails for about 40 days. ♦ The ore is loaded on Panamax bulk carrier or barge at the port and is transferred to the Capesize vessel at the second anchorage. The vessel passes through the Cape of Good Hope and Strait of Malacca with a steaming time of 50 days.

Jamaica Bauxite 3) Cooperated Company — New Day Aluminum (Jamaica) Limited New Day Aluminum (Jamaica) Limited , a subsidiary of Noranda Bauxite & Alumina，singed a 25-year mining agreement of 6.1 million tons per year with Jamaican government, and renewal of contract will be available after expiration. The company signed an exclusive agency agreement with Henglang Co., Ltd., a subsidy of Topsun International Industrial Limited. Jamaican bauxite of one Capesize vessel (170kt) is delivered to China's port every month from January 2019.

We set up a representative office in Montenegro and have professional personnel and vehicle detection equipment to track and detect various indicators of ore at the port at any time.
