Status • To overcome limited attribute release via eduGainCLARIN runs its own CLARIN Service Provider Federation (SPF) • CLARIN ERIC makes contracts with the individual national IDFs, a new more general SPF agreement was drawn up recently • CLARIN has its own CLARIN Homeless IdPand discovery service • Current SPF status: • 17 SPs signed up, including a US SP (3 not connected to all IDFs) • 7 IDFs ( 3 via HAKA’s Kalmar Union connection) • ~200 relevant! IdPs can connect, still more than available via eduGain (150) • Nevertheless: good news that more national IDFs adopt an eduGain opt-out policy as we hear from Italy and France • Persistent problem is limited attribute release of IdPs also within their national IDF

  3. Future • CLARIN now also requires Data Protection CoCo as a CLARIN centre requirement to support its uptake • Talks with DARIAH & CESSDA about sharing resources • CLARIN supports the RDA FIMigwith extension to US centres • Could use ‘Federation Services’ as a service
