  3. A number of search results will come. You choose a site that takes your fancy, usually you fill out an online form and you will receive a phone call or email within 30 minutes.

  4. If you like the price you accept and arrange a time and date. A recovery agent will come and ask for your v5 or green new keepers slip and your id, they fill out the v5 and pay you (bank transfer if it is scrap)

  5. You don’t need to drain the oil or fuel or clean the car out.

  6. Around a week later the DVLA will notify you that the car has been scrapped.
