Teasing other people Why do you think the ant was mean to the others? Was he jealous? In real life, if we tease others and say cruel things it’s unlikely we’ll get washed down a river and never be seen again! But what might happen to us?
“Little Ant, why do you keep teasing us about how we look?” asked the Elephant. “Because you all look so silly!” mocked the Ant. “But Tiger has got stripes for a reason. Giraffe’s long neck is useful for her, and Monkey is able to do amazing things because of his tail. Don’t you understand?” replied the Elephant. “Uh, no. But it doesn’t matter. They look ridiculous!” laughed the Ant. The patient Elephant tried again, “Tiger’s stripes mean he can hunt in forest and he can’t be seen – he is brilliantly camouflaged. If he didn’t have stripes he’d never catch food!”
