History. The Oriental Institute was opened on October 21, 1899. Far Eastern State University's Faculty of Medicine was established in 1958 In 1964, the Vladivostok Branch of the Plekhanov Moscow Institute of the National Economy was established.

  1. History • The Oriental Institute was opened on October 21, 1899. • Far Eastern State University's Faculty of Medicine was established in 1958 • In 1964, the Vladivostok Branch of the Plekhanov Moscow Institute of the National Economy was established. • The Far Eastern Institute of Soviet Trade (FEIST ) was founded in its stead in 1968 • In the years following its establishment, the Far Eastern Institute of Soviet Trade changed its name and status multiple times • In 1991 it became the Far Eastern Institute of Commerce (FEIC); in 1996, the Far Eastern State Academy of Economics and Management (FESAE M); and, finally in 2004, it became the Pacific State University of Economics (PSUE) • On October 21, 2009, President Medvedev issued the edict to establish FEFU on the foundation of Far Eastern National University.

To apply you need For Bachelor's Degree Programs: • High school certificate or diploma or Secondary professional (or vocational) education + legalization and notarized translation into Russian •  Level I Certification from the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)] For Master's Degree Programs: • Bachelor's Degree diploma (with transcripts) + legalization and notarized translation into Russian • Level II Certification from the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL)
